Arabian Epic Series XCM1 Hatta
Cross-country (XCM) marathon lovers will rejoice at the chance to race across the hills of Hatta, an otherwise sleepy town in Dubai. Join fellow bike enthusiasts on a 3-day multi-race extravaganza that spans three countries. Hatta sees the first leg of the race take place and its three tracks range between 40, 80 and 120 kilometres. Explore the region of rocky mountain expanses, old villages and desert.

Ignite Pink is Punk
Join thousands of energetic, informed and fun-loving women in a bid to raise awareness and donations for breast cancer. The annual event supports two major charities. Those who join are in for some good fun, with three events planned over three days. Kick-off the fun with a morning run and swim on October 4th (ranging from 2.5 to 5 kilometres), end off the day with sunset yoga, dubbed the ‘pink moonlight session’ on Jumeira Beach on the 8th and get those arms rolling with a paddle race (ranging from 1 – 4.5 kilometres) on the 11th.

Open Water Swim
The open water swim is open to everyone who enjoys a good, competitive swim around the Abu Dhabi Sailing Club. The event caters to the young and old, with options for everyone to participate. Register on the day or buy your tickets online for one of the races. Options include the 3 kilometre, 1.5 kilometre, 750 metres and even a 200-metre dash for the young ones. This is a great option to indulge in a refreshing UAE sport.

Al Ain Zoo Run
What better way to spend a Saturday morning than out and about, spotting all the animals of the world? The Al Ain Zoo invites everyone to join on their running track around the numerous areas of the zoo, to see how many cute and majestic beasts can be spotted! There are three course options to participate in, including 2.5, 5 and 10 kilometres. The race not only takes place in the confines of the zoo but the surrounding areas as well. Participants can look forward to passing numerous animal areas, including flamingo, zebra, and primates. The race will end near the big cat safari enclosure.

Abu Dhabi Ladies Dash
One for the women of Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE, come and join in the fun of the ladies dash with activities and health-centred things to do. The options are endless and whether you’re there to get a proper run in, in the mood to meditate or just feel like playing some high energy games with a bunch of other women then this is the event for you. The main event, the relay run, is 1 kilometre per team member (5 people per group maximum) and starts at 6.45 pm. The event caters to women only and all children, with a designated area for the little ones to enjoy their own fun and games.

City Run: Race One
This annual events starts at Marina Mall and finishes outside the Abu Dhabi International Marine Club. Participants have the option to join one of three courses: 2.5, 5 or 10 kilometres. Everyone is encouraged to take part and join in the fun, and even if you’re not running, do show your support by cheering on from the sidelines!

UAE National Day Cup 2019
Spend the day watching and cheering on polo teams as they compete for the grand prize – the UAE National Day Cup Trophy! Bring the whole family to enjoy this UAE sport, pack in a picnic and settle in for a day of fun and enjoyment with entertainment, music and so much more. The event takes place over nine days, building its way up to final match with the best teams, all held at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club in Dubai.

NBF Fujairah Trail Run
Enjoy a beautiful scenic day out on the mountains of Fujairah. The event is open to all interested and is a good way to spend time with like-minded friends, family and colleagues. The trail is 11 kilometres long and transcends from narrow paths to mountain ranges, ending along a natural lake. Participants can run or even walk the trail, whatever is most convenient, making the experience even better.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Set your sights on the stunning Yas Marina Island in Abu Dhabi for the annual Formula 1 Grand Prix.
